Does Graphite employ its Experts?
In certain cases, the work that happens between a Client and Expert will be classified as W-2 employment. In those cases, Graphite partners with a third party employer of record to W-2 the Expert. In all other cases, the Expert is classified as having an independent contractor (1099) relationship with Graphite.
Note that these designations apply only to Experts based in the United States.
