Corporate Strategy & Development - Product Strategy
Our non-profit organization is on a mission to rebrand teaching, revolutionize how people become teachers, and recruit the next generation of teachers. We currently rely on local and national philanthropies to sustain our operations, but we are seeking to supplement that philanthropy with earned revenue from services and/or products provided by us.

The consultant must have 5+ years of strategy consulting, new product development or launch, and/or market entry research.

PROJECT DELIVERABLES:
- A ranked list (based on rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis) of the strongest revenue-generating ideas for a product/service that we can build start selling in the next 6-12 months with associated rationale for the strengths/weaknesses/potential of each idea.
- A workplan for the subsequent 2-4 months that will result in demonstrated early success/traction of the prioritized product idea
- A presentation to our Board of Directors to recommend the chosen business model
- A strong business plan / pitch deck that can be presented to investors for additional product development funding

PRIMARY WORKSTREAMS:
- Ideate and refine potential product ideas that school districts, teacher preparation programs, state education agencies, or others would and could pay for.
- For the subset of the most promising ideas, analyze profit potential by:
- Building out high-level budgets to understand both the initial product development costs as well
as the ongoing sales/management/maintenance costs over time
- Projecting customer demand at various price points and over time to assess long-term profit-generating potential
- Both of the above will likely be accomplished through an analysis and synthesis of a variety of data including market research, customer interviews, expert interviews, ideation sessions, surveys, and more.
