Project is to audit and assess the marketing organization of a large grocery chain. The organization is very large and has a relatively complicated org structure with intermingled roles within the marketing group and with other parts of the company. Need to be able to explain what each unit does, how they interact with each other and from where they are getting their direction. Need someone who understands best practices in grocery business - focus on marketing and merchandising only.

need someone with grocery or similar retail management consulting experience - do NOT need someone with heavy background in logistics, IT - very focused on marketing and merchandising
