For entrepreneurs, this includes preparation of all the tools needed to raise capital or sell your business - investor presentations, financial projections, PPMs and CIMs, and data rooms. For investors, services include due diligence, financial modeling and analysis, transaction structuring, preparation of investment committee materials.

Shockoe Atelier is a menswear startup based in Richmond VA. I was a Partner in the company and drove the business side of things, including finance and admin, sales and marketing, and operations. My job also included raising capital, for which I built numerous investor decks, business overviews, business plans, and supporting financial models.

New Richmond Ventures is an early-stage investment firm focused on Richmond VA-based startups. I co-founded the firm and ran day-to-day activities as its Managing Director. My job was to find great investment opportunities to invest in, oversee the investment process (investment size of $250k - $2 million), and assist our startups with further capital raising efforts (investor presentations, business plans, financial models, etc.).

PrecisionIR was a $30 million provider of digital investor relations services, and a portfolio company of SV Investment Partners. I served as the company's COO and CFO during a turnaround, where we reduced costs, launched new product lines, and restructured the company's balance sheet. The company was eventually sold to a strategic acquirer.

SV Investment Partners (fka Schroder Ventures US) is a middle-market private equity firm focused on tech, media & telecom. We were a small team, so I got to do a lot. I was heavily involved in both the deal sourcing/analysis as well as the deal execution (negotiations, legal documentation, post-investment monitoring, exit). I was also involved in the raising, documenting, and managing of two funds, totaling over $250 million.

Mergers & acquisitions in the energy and power sectors. I built complex financial models, drafted presentations, and wrote information memoranda to support transactions of all types. I was recognized as a top Analyst in my class, and earned a reputation for building flawless financial models and beautiful powerpoint presentations.
