-Accounting conversion project - retained by current Controller to evaluate a migration from QBO to QBE. Produced an action plan outlining detailed steps to the conversion.

Led the accounting department. Performed assessment of staff, procedures, policies, and accounting records. Deliverables included:
• Short term cash flow projections and presentation of current financial state.
• Plan of action regarding significant number of past due vendors.
• Evaluation of multiple accounting cycles. Developed log of issues and necessary projects.
• Assisted interviewing and selecting permanent full time Controller.

Developed 2019 budget process and related excel templates for $80MM government with 100+ departments. Reviewed limited prior year documentation and performed assessment of current accounting software's budget capabilities (Munis.) Created excel template structure to distribute financial and HR data to departments. Developed control logs to monitor budget status by department.

Project manager for software client. Approx $80Mm revenue. Assessed current revenue recognition software implementation effort (ASC 606). Presented findings to executive working group. Proceeded to complete the design phase and develop appropriate tools to support management's implementation effort. Client requested for me to stay on for implementation.

Project #1 (7/2015 - 7/2016) Startup controller Oil & Gas services company. Set-up initial records and procedures for 8 consolidating entities in Quickbooks. Retained to identify and implement ERP system (NetSuite). Conducted interactions with auditors and external valuation firms. Est $30MM revenue.

Project #2 (10/2016-5/2017) Developed accounting system and procedures for $500MM high net worth family in Quickbooks Enterprise: 7 reporting entities, 35+ brokerage accounts, and 80+ LP's.

Project #1 (12/2014 - 5/2015) Controller for manufacturing company experiencing rapid sales growth ($1MM annually to $8MM monthly.) Successfully built accounting team and related processes from ground up. Subsequently retained by CEO to develop financial projections and present findings to board.

Project #2 (5/2015 - 7/2015) Identified appropriate accounting software for approx $30MM commercial real estate firm. Implemented software (Co-Star) on-time and under budget.

Built and ran a successful fractional Controller and CFO business for smaller companies. Serviced clients across a range of industries including medical service provider, medical startups, distribution companies, light manufacturing, consumer products, real estate, and family offices.

Co-Founder and CFO to startup company in the medical space focused on offering an automated workflow product to streamline the IRB review process in clinical research. Worked with the CEO to set corporate strategy, document the business plan, create an extensive 60 page financial model, and conduct investor presentations. Met series of preliminary milestones set by interested investors; succeeded in obtaining $1.5MM term sheet and partial funding commitments.
