Responsible for product development, which included managing 8 R&D chemist. Leading the formulation effort on new products as well as insuring compliance to time lines.

Provide guidance for the upgrading of compounding, revamped the Quality Department, and started in house microbiology lab.

Responsible for the Product Development, product innovations, process development, and Quality control. Process development includes process optimization, researching, acquiring and start-up of new process equipment. In 2004 compounding capital $1.8 million. Modernization of QC include new GC, integration of Chemstation in the analytical lab, introduction of Karl Fisher, loss on drying and Mettler Densitometer.

Director of Technical Service (12/03-07/04) - responsible for QA and QC

Responsible for R&D, process development, and plant support. I was the technical representative with the sales force on customer visits and provide a point of contact for both R&D and manufacturing issues. I was the company representative for customer driven Six Sigma program. Customer relations now account for 15-20% of my daily activity.

Responsible for R&D, Compounding, QA, QC and compliance. My role a Universal is to improve productivity of both R&D and Compounding as well as prepare company for changes in the regulatory environment.

In addition, to Quality my responsibilities include providing interfaces with marketing and R&D, guidance to manufacturing and automation support through Tech Services. Responsible for Quality department in both the manufacturing and logistics facilities. The department consists of 2 direct reports, 5 chemists and 37 regular and temporary technicians.

The responsibilities of Technical Service Manager include: responsibility for first production of new products, technical support for QA and Operations as well as training. Provide on site technical support to solve manufacturing related issues and updating technical documents with R&D.
