Managed M&A, corporate strategy and strategic investments within the Tribune organization. Worked directly with Tribune C-suite to expand the company’s product portfolio across the US and to rationalize its print / digital footprint. Responsible for strategic investments within the organization, including board representation of selected equity interests.

• Led strategic planning and corporate development in support of the company roll-up strategy, culminating with a sale to IBM Watson Health for $1 billion.
• Oversaw corporate finance function for the entire company (2 business units, 16 operating groups).
» Rebuilt finance and planning team by recruiting, hiring and training financial managers and analysts.
» Spearheaded implementation of core financial systems to streamline key internal processes (Tableau, COGNOS TM1, Xactly).
