• Client: Global insurance brokerage and risk management services firm (Fortune 500 company) – Provided a market assessment of the UK wealth management, investment and brokerage markets. Reviewed their existing operations and capabilities and recommended alternative strategic options and business model to compete.

Direct report to Global Head of Distribution (ExCom member). Business head managing £5bn of AuM and c.200,000 UK direct customers, owning a c.£100m P&L. Also initiated a new disruptive D2C business for the Group.
Worked very closely with the Boards and the ExComs of M&G Investments, M&G Prudential, Prudential Group plc. Reported to M&G ExCom and C-Suite.

Portfolio company of AnaCap Financial Partners, the leading European Private Equity specialising on Financial Services. Direct report to both the CEO of the MeDirect Group and Mediterranean Bank and to the CEO of MeDirect Bank. Member of the EXCO at Group level. Business Head managing in excess of €800m of AuM & AuC and the P&L for the business line. Direct report to the various national Regulators. Chairman of the MeDirect Bank Investment Committee and member of the Mediterranean Bank IC.

Recruited to lead the RBB Business Performance team (20 people incl. offshore resources in India) across 4 Bus: UK, Barclaycard, Europe (4 countries) and Africa (12 countries), managing a variety of business lines (retail banking, consumer credit cards, corporate banking for SMEs). Directed RBB CFO agenda. Provided key reporting and analysis to Board and ExCo. Co-ordinated strategic planning process (budgeting and forecasting) across the 4 RBB BUs.

Started ERC together with few other fellow bankers. Assisted Financial Institutions with management of problematic / non-core credit and asset exposures and their resolution, establishing good bank/ bad bank solutions.
Won a retained financial advisory mandate from Swedbank, entailing a restructuring of the loan books of its subsidiaries in the Baltic countries and in Ukraine.
Advised Swedbank on a SEK15.1bn (£1.3bn) rights issue completed in autumn 2009.
