Accomplished POC or FDA breakthrough approval for Novartis clinical programs (INC280, LDK378, PCA062 , and PDR001). Supported the initiation of Novartis new clinical trials in both Western and Asian-Pacific region including China by selection and evaluation of clinical sites as well as CROs and central labs, authoring and reviewing the clinical trial synopsis, biomarker and reports, investigator brochure. Evaluated patient data for safety, efficacy, toxicity and clinical response prediction.

Led the histology and pathology component of biomarker discovery and validation for multiple projects. Guided external vendors and collaborators to implement histology/pathology related biomarker assay. Accomplished the selection, design, planning, and conduction of patient testing paradigm for various stages of clinical study. Implemented innovative technologies for biomarker analysis to approach high pipelines.

Cancer genomic research in U.S common cancers including but not limited to: breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, kidney cancer, head and neck cancer, thyroid cancer, melanoma, lymphoma and leukemia.

Led the daily diagnostic and research activities of pathology department. Managed staffs and trained residency pathologists.
